Design Manager

Job description

The Design Manager supports senior PMC Project Managers in overseeing client‑appointed Lead Design Consultants (LDC) on development projects (RIBA Stages 1‑4) within the PMC Development Framework. Responsibilities include preparing scope of work for tenders based on client framework agreements, overseeing LDC activities and coordinating designs to meet project objectives, monitoring design progress, client and statutory approvals, managing design reviews in line with quality, HSE and client procedures, compiling stage gateway reports, reviewing design changes to ensure they align with approved versions and handling change impact analysis, assisting cost management to ensure designs stay within approved budgets, and coordinating design processes with all stakeholders. The role demands a structured, systematic, efficient and disciplined approach with excellent communication and reporting skills
