Production Engineer

Job description

The role of Production Engineer includes ensuring correct staffing per machine and filling manpower shortages to implement the daily production plan. Reviewing daily production reports and ensuring their accuracy to enable proper handover during shift changes. Supervising machine run‑ability during trials and production and reporting any raw material non‑conformities. Following up with the team to minimize waste and maximize efficiency. Submitting and approving team requests on Pulse such as leaves, sick leaves, and loans. Monitoring the optimal size change flow cycle. Assigning tasks and deadlines for the production team and tracking achievement of set goals. Managing and guiding the production team to work safely and effectively while maintaining a tidy and clean plant. Ensuring all hygiene procedures including hairnet, mask, gloves, and hand sanitization are correctly implemented at all times on the floor. Securing proper preventive maintenance for all machines in coordination with the Maintenance Department and handling corrective repair orders. Ensuring application of all quality procedures in coordination with the QC Department. Evaluating staff performance and suggesting appropriate incentive and training programs. Complying with integrated management system requirements. Aligning with the HSSE team to update HIRA and ensure hazards and risks are adequately identified and documented. Consulting and participating at all applicable levels and functions for development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation, and improvement actions of the OH&S management system.

Requirements

• Process analysis and production planning
• knowledge of quality improvement methods such as Six Sigma or Lean
• proficiency in using production design and management programs such as AutoCAD, SAP
