Project Control Engineer

About the employer: a multi‑disciplinary engineering and contracting group delivering advanced electromechanical and building MEP systems, testing and commissioning, and construction solutions across the GCC and beyond. The company serves power, utilities, and infrastructure sectors with full lifecycle capabilities—from tendering and design review to execution, commissioning, and handover. Key responsibilities: develop, monitor and update project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project; prepare and maintain cost control systems including budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow analysis; track project progress and identify risks, delays and mitigation plans; perform schedule and cost variance analysis with corrective actions; prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards for management; develop baseline schedules with resource and cost loading; monitor expenditures and evaluate actual versus planned costs; conduct Earned Value Analysis (EVA) reporting; support variation orders, claims and change management; support development of mitigation and recovery plans; track KPIs related to project performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• strong knowledge of planning, scheduling and cost control principles
• experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques
• proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Office
• strong analytical, reporting and communication skills
• ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
