Design Engineer

Job description

Responsible for designing structural structures. Duties include familiarity with international codes such as ACI 318, ASD, L&RFD, AISC, and ASCE 7. In addition, use design software and submit requests via stated channel effectively. An overview of the profession: The design engineer prepares engineering plans and models for systems and products, matches them with standards and specifications, and follows up on their approval and implementation. Typical tasks for this profession: • Preparing engineering drawings and models for systems or products. • Ensure that designs comply with standards and specifications. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for design integration. • Follow up on approval processes and design implementation after approval. • Maintain design documentation and update it when needed

Requirements

• Experience in designing structural structures
• Knowledge of international building codes such as ACI 318, ASD, L&RFD, AISC and ASCE 7
• Proficiency in structural design software
