Planning & Control Manager

Job description

the employer is seeking a Planning & Control Manager to join its team in Saudi Arabia. The manager provides oversight for all C&C projects and initiatives regarding financial governance, planning, monitoring and reporting. Responsibilities include establishing financial procedures, ensuring compliance with policies, monitoring program budgets, forecasts, cash flow, accrual accounting and financial management. Collaborates with C&C stakeholders and Finance to align strategic objectives with KAUST policies. Conducts cost, benchmarking and commercial performance analyses. Key duties: lead financial governance, ensure project control compliance, coordinate with Finance, Procurement and stakeholders, develop cost control strategies, perform gap and performance analysis, oversee project planning and budgeting, monitor performance and variance, manage cash flow and invoicing, drive stakeholder collaboration, enhance performance through benchmarking and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related field
• PMP certification is a plus
• minimum 10+ years experience in project planning, cost control and financial management
• proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and financial governance
• experience managing large‑scale projects and coordinating with Finance, Procurement and Project teams
• proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and SAP
• solid understanding of accounting principles, risk management and compliance frameworks
• excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills with ability to present financial data
• strong leadership, stakeholder management and ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines
