Cost Engineer

Job description

the employer seeks an experienced Cost Engineer to handle Project Management activities for Upstream Unconventional Resources. Provides cost engineering expertise and leads as required, prepares cost portions of EPC contracts, collects, monitors, analyzes and reports cost data through the Project Manager, reviews claims and Change Orders, participates in contract negotiations, initiates actions when forecasts exceed allocated funds, supports project teams with cost reviews, possesses strong technical writing skills, mentors and motivates young Saudi engineers, promotes continuous business process improvements, stays updated on cost engineering developments through technical literature, contractor contacts, site visits and professional meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Business Administration, MIS, Accounting or related field
• minimum of 12 years experience in cost engineering with at least 5 years on petrochemical, refinery, pipeline or power generation projects
• familiar with construction practices, materials and equipment
• strong interpersonal, creative solution and problem‑solving skills and proficient with computer programs
• strong technical writing skills and willing to mentor and motivate young Saudi engineers
• knowledge of international standard specifications and familiar with Aramco standards especially in Civil, Mechanical and Piping disciplines
