Planning and Scheduling Engineer

Job description

The engineer develops, monitors, and updates project schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery. Utilizes industry-standard planning tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project. Monitors progress against planned schedules. Identifies potential delays and risks and proposes mitigation strategies. Coordinates with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to collect accurate progress data. Prepares regular reports including progress updates, schedule analysis, and forecasts. Conducts critical path analysis and provides recommendations to optimize timelines. Supports project management in resource planning and allocation. Ensures compliance with project requirements, standards, and contractual obligations. Assists in evaluating variations, claims, and extensions of time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or related field)
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects
• Proficient in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or equivalent
• Strong understanding of project controls, risk management and construction workflows
• Excellent analytical, communication and reporting skills
• Experience on large‑scale projects in the Middle East is an advantage
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
