Cost Estimator / Estimation Engineer

Job description

Responsible for developing accurate and detailed project cost estimates by reviewing drawings, bills of quantities, specifications and client requirements. Works closely with Sales, Design, Production, Procurement and Project teams to ensure correct and commercially viable pricing. Tasks include preparing cost sheets for exhibitions, events, booths, branding, signage, fabrication and fit‑out, verifying BOQs, calculating material, fabrication, installation and transportation quantities, obtaining and comparing supplier quotations, finalizing cost breakdowns with appropriate mark‑ups, and coordinating requirements across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
• 3–5 years experience in estimation, costing, quantity surveying, exhibitions, fit‑out, signage, advertising or fabrication
• strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including formulas and costing spreadsheets
• ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOQs, layouts and specifications
• good understanding of materials such as MDF, plywood, acrylic, aluminum, PVC, digital printing, lighting, electrical works, carpentry and metal fabrication
• strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• ability to obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• strong communication and coordination skills with ability to work across multiple teams
• ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• preferred experience in events, exhibitions, signage, advertising, branding, fabrication, interior fit‑out, retail displays or digital printing.
