Legal Advisor

Job description

The Legal Counsel will act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing strategic legal guidance that supports sound decision‑making while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards. Key responsibilities include: drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing a broad range of commercial agreements and legal documents to safeguard the organization’s legal and commercial position; partnering with cross‑functional teams to identify, assess and mitigate legal risks; supporting regulatory matters and maintaining compliance with evolving legal requirements; delivering practical, business‑focused legal solutions that enable operations while managing risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.)
• Master's degree (LL.M.) is an advantage
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction, where applicable
• 5–8 years of experience in corporate, commercial, or in‑house legal practice
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts, labor law, and regulatory compliance
• Proven track record in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal agreements
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to provide practical, commercially minded legal advice in a fast‑paced environment
• High standards of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• experience with contract management or legal technology platforms is an advantage
