Senior Discipline Engineer (MEP)

Job description

the employer is a project management consultancy delivering construction projects across complex Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing scopes. The team ensures MEP installations meet approved drawings, technical specifications, quality expectations, safety requirements, and schedules. In this role you will drive MEP work quality and progress throughout the construction lifecycle, support coordination between technical teams and maintain high compliance and execution standards. You will work closely with project leadership and site stakeholders to provide engineering oversight, resolve issues, and keep delivery on track. Responsibilities include supervising daily MEP construction activities on site; reviewing and monitoring shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs; ensuring works follow approved drawings, specifications, local codes, and project requirements; conducting inspections and witnessing testing and commissioning; monitoring contractor progress and identifying delays or quality issues; coordinating MEP with civil, architectural, and other disciplines; reviewing contractor progress reports and verifying completed work; raising NCRs, site observations and following corrective actions; attending site meetings and supporting the Project Manager and Resident Engineer; ensuring HSE and quality compliance; participating in snagging, de‑snagging and handover activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• 7 years experience in MEP site supervision within PMC or consultancy environments
• mechanical engineering background with strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, electrical and ELV systems
• experience preparing technical reports for construction or MEP projects
• familiarity with international standards and local regulations including the Saudi Building Code
• professional proficiency in Arabic and English
• experience coordinating with contractors and client-side teams is a plus
