SCADA System Operator

Job description

Join the Urban Planning division in Riyadh. Operate and monitor city‑wide SCADA systems for urban infrastructure. Analyze real‑time data and create dashboards and detailed reports. Coordinate with project teams to align SCADA implementations with schedules. Document operations, maintenance activities, and milestones according to PMO standards. Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems. Provide technical input for SCADA requirements and implementation timelines. Organize and track resources, schedules, and budgets for SCADA and urban initiatives. Conduct regular system audits for compliance. Collaborate with engineers, planners, and stakeholders to optimize performance. Prepare status reports and presentations for stakeholders and management.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating and monitoring SCADA systems in city‑wide industrial or infrastructure environments
• Strong knowledge of Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) platforms and industrial control systems, main command center facilities, controllers and field devices
• Demonstrated experience with Project Management Office functions including scheduling, documentation, and resource coordination
• Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to interpret complex operational metrics
• Familiarity with urban infrastructure systems, smart city technologies, or similar large‑scale city projects
• Experience with project management tools and software
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem‑solving capabilities
• Knowledge of PLC programming or industrial automation is preferred
• Experience in project coordination within utilities, infrastructure, or urban planning sectors is preferred
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, or similar) is preferred
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards in industrial operations is preferred
