Diesel Mechanic

Job description

the employer is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of diesel-powered vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role ensures reliability, safety, and operational efficiency of diesel engines and related mechanical systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and equipment, conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, inspecting and replacing engine, fuel, cooling, and transmission components, performing engine overhauls per manufacturer specifications, reading technical manuals and drawings, conducting routine inspections, testing repaired equipment, maintaining accurate maintenance records, complying with Saudi Aramco safety standards and company procedures, coordinating with supervisors to minimize downtime, keeping tools and work areas organized, and supporting emergency breakdown maintenance

Requirements

• Diploma or ITI/Technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or related field
• proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic in industrial, construction, or heavy equipment settings
• mandatory Saudi Aramco project experience
• strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, fuel systems, and preventive maintenance
• ability to diagnose and repair heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery
• good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• familiarity with HSE procedures and safe maintenance practices
• locally available in Saudi Arabia
• nationality open to all.
