Senior Manager - Network & Security Engineering

Job description

The role is responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network security controls. He/she is responsible for protecting an organization’s network and data from cyber threats, involving designing, implementing, and managing security measures to safeguard network infrastructure. He/she will assess potential vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. He/she plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems, ultimately enabling the organization to operate securely and efficiently. The role also includes developing the architecture, design, and standards of network security controls, provisioning/de-provisioning of network access, leading and participating in activities related to implementation of network security controls, assisting with troubleshooting and problem analysis, and being a member of another company

Requirements

• Preferred Qualifications: A tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• industry-recognized certifications in Palo Alto, Fortinet, any CASB
• 5 to 7 years of equivalent experience where required competencies and experience have been demonstrated in Networking and Network Security, with 2 years of experience with Cloud networking
• a specialist individual contributor or a team lead who has managed and delivered projects
• demonstrated expertise and experience with complex technical activities
• requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, follow written policies standards, and procedures, and provide consistent and superior customer service
• demonstrable knowledge in investigating security issues within Cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure
• strong expertise in network technologies and security solutions
• experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
