The Shift Engineer is responsible for supporting the smooth and safe operation of the hotel’s engineering and maintenance functions during the assigned shift. The role involves monitoring building systems, responding to maintenance requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that all engineering operations are maintained according to hotel standards, safety requirements, and operational needs. Responsibilities include monitoring the operation of the hotel’s electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other engineering systems during the assigned shift, responding promptly to maintenance requests, equipment breakdowns, and urgent engineering issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• 0–2 years of relevant experience is preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems
• Basic understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify basic equipment faults
• Good knowledge of engineering safety procedures and HSE requirements
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Arabic is an advantage
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night shifts as required
• Highly motivated, responsible, and willing to learn and develop within a hotel engineering environment.
