Senior MEP Engineer

Job description

Responsible for planning and designing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, developing policies, standards, inspection procedures, and evaluation tools for judicial facilities. Coordinates plumbing, fire protection, and electrical engineering activities to ensure compliance with statutory and standard requirements. Leads design and development of MEP systems for building projects, managing aspects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other disciplines. Provides technical guidance and resolves complex engineering challenges. Ensures quality through thorough reviews, inspections, and testing. Mentors a team of MEP engineers and designers, fostering professional growth. Collaborates with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure equipment per specifications. Identifies risks and develops mitigation strategies to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. Acts as primary client contact for MEP systems, addressing concerns and offering expertise. Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards. Stays updated on emerging technologies and best practices, implementing innovative solutions and continuous improvement. Supports HSE initiatives and participates in safety awareness activities

Requirements

• Proficiency in MEP system design and development
• Experience managing MEP projects from conception to completion
• Mastery of AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP modeling software
• Knowledge of local, national, and international building codes and standards
• Strong problem‑solving skills for complex technical issues
• Proficiency in SAP ERP
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience
• At least 3 years of relevant MEP experience
• Fluency in English
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Professional registration as an MEP Engineer (UPDA).
