We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as among the five largest global companies by market capitalization. ## Overview We are looking for a Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear Specialist to join our Technical Services Department / High Voltage Equipment Unit (HVEU). The Technical Services Department is responsible for providing and managing high-tech, specialized engineering services to support the safety and reliability of the operation of Saudi the employer’s electrical transmission and distribution networks. Your primary role is to provide specialist technical support regarding designs, standards, commissioning, maintenance, operation and investigation in order to ensure a safe and reliable power supply. ## Key Responsibilities As a successful candidate, you will be required to do the following: • Act as a MO expert Familiarity with equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations. • Conduct root cause analysis for all critical equipment failures. • Conduct ongoing review of high voltage equipment maintenance programs to identify improvements to ensure safe and reliable operation of high voltage assets. • Providing technical consultations to the maintenance agency as required in identifying and reviewing critical spare parts lists for existing equipment. • Providing technical consultations to evaluate the condition of old electrical switches and circuit breakers, including the use of new innovative technologies. • Provide technical expertise on troubleshooting, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or current service conditions. • Provide technical engineering input on repair details and provide on-site technical support, especially for process critical equipment. • Providing engineering input to switchgear work groups to ensure Saudi the employer standards and material specifications are followed. • Review and update company standards and become familiar with international standards. ## Minimum Requirements • As a successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Advanced degree is an added advantage. • You will have a minimum of 10 years of operations and maintenance experience working directly with medium voltage switchgear/control equipment. • You will have in-depth knowledge, experience and recognition as a specialist in the field of switchgear including membership in international engineering bodies and contribution to international conferences. • Background in the oil and gas industry or oil industry Rakat Equipment Manufacturer Plus. • Professional engineer certification such as Charter or PE is a plus. • You will have a working knowledge of ANSI and IEC designed switchgear, crusher design (including mechanisms and interruption technology - vacuum, air, pneumatic, SF-6), motor control gears, motor contactors, and SF-6 pad mounted equipment. • You will have the ability to multi-task, manage changing priorities, and seek opportunities to proactively improve results and operations, and contribute to company goals, health, and profitability. • You will be able to quickly integrate and apply newly acquired technical information. • You will have strong speaking, writing and customer service skills. • You will also be able to complete daily work activities with limited supervision and able to work collaboratively in a team environment ## Work Location and Work Schedule Work Location: Within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - to be determined in the job offer Work Schedule: Full Time - to be determined in the job offer ## Job Posting Duration Job Posting Start Date: 1/14/2026 Job Work Environment Our high-performing employees are drawn to challenging and rewarding professional, technical and industry opportunities that We provide it, and we get paid accordingly.
