Role Overview: We are looking for a Monitoring Engineer / Jira Admin to own the operational monitoring and observability ecosystem, including dashboards, alerts, event correlation, SLA reporting and Jira administration, ensuring that operational teams can proactively identify and manage production issues. Key Responsibilities: • Administer and maintain AppDynamics, GCP cloud monitoring, Grafana, Elastic/Kibana and related monitoring tools. • Build and maintain operational dashboards covering application availability, infrastructure health, API performance, business transactions, and database health. • Configure and adjust monitoring thresholds and alerts. • Reduce alert noise and improve alert actionability. • Link logs, metrics and application events during incidents. • Identify screen ng gaps and recommend additional devices. • Develop SLA and operational performance dashboards. • Produce availability, incident and monitoring reports. • Manage JIRA workflows used by Operations team. • Configure Jira queues, SLAs, workflows, notifications, dashboards, and reports. • Support ticket creation automation and operational workflow. • Ensure alerts are directed to the correct operational teams. • Support major accident investigations with surveillance data. • Maintain control standards and documentation. • Continuous improvement of proactive accident detection. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. • 2+ years in monitoring, monitoring, application support, or IT operations. • Jira administration certification is beneficial. • AppDynamics certification or observability is preferred. • ITIL organization preferred.
