Senior Surveyor

Job description

The Senior Surveyor performs surveying works for properties and sites to provide information for construction, valuation, and map making. Analyzes, measures, and inspects boundaries and prepares sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions. Determines longitudes and latitudes of key features using advanced surveying tools. Records shape, elevation, and dimensions of land. Ensures daily submission of surveying reports with at least 95% accuracy using the approved format. Prepares survey proposals 7 days before project setting out and facilitates timely completion. Trains assistants and directs map preparation activities. Enforces safety procedures to achieve zero loss time incidents. Updates sketches daily, uses GPS and theodolites for coordinates, and submits weekly and monthly summary reports. Provides AutoCAD spatial files to project staff. Supports HSE initiatives and participates in safety awareness activities

Requirements

• Proficient in mathematics and survey computer programs
• Knowledge of land surveying principles and practices
• Knowledge of surveying techniques, engineering sketches, maps and drawings
• Proficient understanding of land surveying principles, techniques, and equipment
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and surveying standards
• Effective communication skills
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• GCC experience is a plus
