Senior BIM Modeler

Job description

Provides drafting and modelling support for the entire project. Delivers BIM modelling and design support. Coordinates and manages Revit models. Creates Revit families and CAD blocks. Receives design element or CAD drafting assignments from project managers. Reviews all work for completeness and accuracy. Uses checklists for quality control and submits work on time. Records weekly time entries with descriptions. Completes printing and plotting requests. Observes professional ethics. Takes a proactive approach to learning new digital design tools. Ensures compliance with approved BIM Execution and Scope Plans. Sets up project base files. Assembles composite design models for coordination meetings. Facilitates use of composite models in clash detection meetings and provides detection reports. Coordinates BIM file exchange and archives milestone submittals. Prepares plan, section, detail drawings, bills of material, supports list, total station files, etc. Performs file management tasks such as posting models, downloading updates, managing links and version history. Creates detailed field installation and fabrication drawings. Develops MEP BIM model up to LOD 500 and conducts clash detection for coordination

Requirements

• Proficient in Revit with at least two years experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD with at least two years experience
• Knowledge of MEP/FP systems
• Strong background in Autodesk Revit and related BIM software
• Solid understanding of legacy CAD applications, especially AutoCAD
• Familiarity with design visualization tools such as BIM 360, 3D Studio Max and Navisworks
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related technical certificates
• Minimum 6 years of overall experience
• Minimum 3 years of industry/department experience
• Preferred minimum 3 years experience in GCC.
