QC Inspector - Piping (UG)

Job description

Conducts inspection and monitoring of activities such as excavation, bedding, coating, and backfilling to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Performs in-process and final inspections and witnesses trench excavation, bedding, coating/wrapping, and backfilling according to the test plan. Verifies pipe alignment, depth, and joint integrity compared to approved plans. Witnesses pressure tests, coating defect testing, and cathodic protection inspections. Reviews materials against specification certificates, records inspection results, and issues non-conformance reports. Coordinates stop points and inspections with the client or external inspectors before backfilling. Maintains inspection logs and daily lists, verifies calibration of site equipment, supports preparation of remaining lists and closure verification, and supports preparation of project delivery documents
