Design Manager (Landscape)

Job description

the employer announces a need for a Landscape Design Manager to work in the Riyadh region. The role involves overseeing and managing all landscape design activities across projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, project objectives, and regulatory standards within a Project Management Consultancy environment. Tasks include leading landscape design activities from concept through detailed design and construction support, coordinating landscape design with multidisciplinary teams, reviewing and validating landscape design submissions from consultants for compliance with scope, standards, and regulations, ensuring design integration through reviews and clash detection, and developing, monitoring, and managing the landscape design programme aligned with project timelines. Duties also encompass providing expert input on planting strategies, irrigation, grading, drainage, and hardscape, reviewing concepts for functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic quality, ensuring appropriate plant species usage, assessing environmental impact, soil conditions, hydrology, and maintainability, verifying sustainable design solutions implementation like water efficiency and green infrastructure, liaising with clients, authorities, and stakeholders for approvals and compliance, participating in technical meetings to resolve design issues, supporting project reporting with progress and risk updates, monitoring design changes and impact on cost, schedule, and quality, supporting value engineering exercises, identifying and mitigating design-related risks and technical challenges, providing technical support during construction including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings, and overseeing landscape implementation to ensure design intent and monitor site progress with supervision teams
