Engineer - Electrical

Job description

The Electrical Engineer will supervise electrical infrastructure works for a major development project at King Abdullah Economic City. Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and method statements. Oversee installation of MV/LV power distribution, street lighting, and telecom infrastructure. Monitor construction progress and provide technical guidance. Witness testing, commissioning, energization, and handover. Review inspection reports and maintain quality standards. Coordinate with utility authorities, contractors, and stakeholders. Identify technical issues and recommend corrective actions. Ensure health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance. Support the Resident Engineer in planning, reporting, risk management, and progress monitoring. Participate in meetings and provide technical input. Prepare and review technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects
• Proven experience in MV/LV power distribution, street lighting, electrical utilities, and telecom infrastructure
• Previous experience working with engineering consultants on construction supervision projects
• Strong knowledge of international electrical codes, standards, and industry practices
• Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical infrastructure systems
• Demonstrated ability to review contractor deliverables and resolve technical issues
• Strong communication, coordination, and report‑writing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia and major infrastructure projects preferred
• Professional registration and relevant certifications considered an advantage
• Fluency in English is essential
• Arabic language skills are advantageous.
