Senior Field Service Engineer

Job description

The role focuses on providing technical advice to customers, including commissioning, installing, and testing high‑voltage products and equipment. Active participation in site activities, visiting customer sites for installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Coordination with tools management and proper use of test equipment for HV product activities. Completion of GIS bay or compartment assembly, minor fabrication, and defect rectification on‑site. Collaboration with project management teams adhering to project requirements. Leading contractors/sub‑contractors, coordinating resources, and obtaining customer sign‑off for invoicing. Preparing site reports, activity plans, and method statements as required. Adhering to company policies, safety, and integrity standards. Submitting weekly and monthly timesheets and expense reports timely.

Requirements

• Learn and operate test equipment for HV product testing, commissioning and maintenance
• Learn procedures and methods for using special tools for HV service jobs
• Share knowledge and teach skills to fellow engineers and technicians
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering
• 6-10 years of experience in high voltage products, electrical equipment, switchgears, and HV protection and control
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic
