Chief Engineer of the Private Airport System

Job description

The Senior Special Airport Systems (SAS) Engineer will lead the engineering and design review of specialized airport systems under the supervision of the Project Management Consultant (PMC). The role ensures that all airport systems are designed, integrated and delivered in accordance with international standards, operational requirements and stakeholder expectations, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency and future scalability. • Lead the design review and coordination of special airport systems including Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB), Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS), Public Address (PA), CCTV, Access Control and Airport Operational Database (AODB). • Ensure that all system designs comply with project specifications, Aviation Authority regulations and international standards. • Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of airport systems. • Review and approve design requests, shop drawings, technical specifications and interface documents. • Provide technical expertise in system architecture, integration, and interface management across multiple airport systems. • Identify design risks, system conflicts, and operational challenges, and propose effective mitigation solutions. • Support value engineering initiatives to improve system performance, cost and maintainability. • Participate in shareholders meetings, including coordination with airport operators, airlines and regulatory authorities. • Ensure designs meet operational efficiency, passenger experience, and safety requirements. • Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, and Ensure timely approvals. • Ensure adherence to the employer International's quality, environmental, safety and occupational health policies and procedures. • Performing other duties assigned by the project manager or direct manager

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interface management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in complex project environments
• Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
