Radio Frequency Engineer

Job description

The RF Engineer provides installation and integration support for C4I system racks and components for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces. Responsibilities include verifying system communications, performing RF cable routing, termination and operational testing during installations on RSNF ships, command centers and training facilities. Conducts pre‑installation EMI surveys to establish baseline, prepares post‑installation EMI summary reports with recommendations, and works with engineering on system design, software installation and operational testing. Builds and prepares test cables, reviews RF quality issues, updates documentation with corrective actions, maintains and troubleshoots radio communication circuits (UHF, VHF, HF, VSAT, UHF SATCOM, LINK‑11/16) on land and afloat platforms. Utilizes specialized test equipment for diagnostics and fault isolation, follows technical orders and manufacturer manuals for repairs, performs equipment modifications per engineering change plans, conducts soldering with 3M workstations or portable irons, and completes RF and fiber cable termination and testing. Provides technical solutions to complex problems, maintains frequent customer communication, and represents the organization in addressing challenging technical issues

Requirements

• Experience with post‑installation surveys to identify EMI changes
• technical support
• proficiency in conducting pre‑installation EMI surveys
• proficiency in preparing EMI summary reports and improvement recommendations
• knowledge of maintenance and repair of radio communication circuits (UHF, VHF, HF, VSAT, UHF SATCOM, LINK‑11/16)
• proficiency with specialized test equipment and diagnostics
• experience repairing systems per technical orders and manufacturer manuals
• proficiency in soldering with 3M workstations or portable irons
• proficiency in terminating and testing RF and fiber cables
• ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• minimum five years of relevant professional experience
