Senior High Voltage Engineer (EOI)

Job description

We are inviting experienced engineers to express interest for upcoming energy and infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will provide technical leadership for the design and delivery of high-voltage power systems, including transmission, distribution, renewable energy, and major infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include leading the design and delivery of HV and EHV substations, including AIS and GIS systems; preparing and reviewing substation layouts, single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and technical specifications; coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, utilities, contractors, and stakeholders; conducting protection studies, equipment selection, and design reviews; supporting procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and technical assurance activities; and providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline
• minimum 8-12 years of experience in high-voltage power engineering
• strong experience in AIS/GIS substations and protection design
• knowledge of IEC, IEEE, utility standards, and grid code requirements
• experience with transmission, distribution, renewable energy, or major infrastructure projects
• strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• previous Middle East or Saudi Arabia project experience is highly desirable
