Process Operator

Job description

The operator will work in an advanced sugar refinery in Saudi Arabia. He will operate the dedicated equipment and plant sections according to the work process, leveraging his knowledge in chemical manufacturing to run the plant and solve problems safely and efficiently. He will work within a team that sets priorities and completes activities under limited supervision. Responsibilities: follow operational discipline principles and procedures to ensure safe and effective operation; operate vessels, distillation units and gauges from the distributed control system and the field; operate and inspect process equipment on site; monitor process conditions, equipment and control systems; perform tasks according to a standard task list including field inspections and preparation of equipment and samples; ensure process activities align with plant goals; use problem‑solving skills to correct deviations and maintain equipment reliability; participate in root‑cause investigations as needed; execute immediate responses and manage unplanned events; improve plant performance and operational discipline; use measurements and tools to run the plant under optimal conditions; maintain and repair small process equipment and carry out preventive maintenance
