Spa Massage Therapist / Male

Job description

Provide massage services to guests using props or products. Deliver body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, or hydrotherapy. Assess guest needs and check for contraindications like allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy before starting. Stay updated with current techniques and modalities. Escort guests to and from treatment rooms. Arrange workstation, treatment room, and drapes. Frequently check guest comfort, safety, and security during service. Promote and sell spa and salon services, including retail items. Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools; keep workstation and treatment room clean throughout shift. Monitor schedule adherence. Handle inappropriate guest behavior according to the employer SOPs. Maintain required skills and licensure per regional regulations. Report accidents or unsafe conditions to manager and complete safety training. Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets. Welcome guests per standards, anticipate their needs, and thank them sincerely. Communicate clearly and professionally, foster positive working relationships. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Requirements

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree
• at least 1 year of related work experience
• state or regional massage license
• proficiency in massage techniques and body treatments
• knowledge of safety and health requirements
• familiarity with spa and salon products
• ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods
• ability to lift objects up to 10 pounds.
