Inertial Solutions Systems Engineer

Job description

The Inertial Solutions Systems Engineer will support validation and characterization of Si‑Ware's inertial systems. The role focuses on test automation, embedded design, hardware debugging, and testing to ensure high performance and reliability of inertial products. Develop and maintain robust automated test plans, scripts, and proprietary device drivers for high‑speed data acquisition and control. Utilize advanced laboratory equipment such as high‑bandwidth oscilloscopes, logic/protocol analyzers, and digital multimeters to diagnose hardware and address signal integrity and communication protocol issues on PCBs. Process, clean, and analyze datasets generated from test runs. Review, trace, and debug C‑based firmware to understand sensor logic, state machines, and calibration, validating digital interfaces like SPI and I2C and register configurations. Create and maintain high‑quality technical documentation including validation reports, test procedures, and bug reports. Collaborate closely with design, firmware, and production teams to drive issue resolution. Open to Saudi Nationals in compliance with local regulations. Membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers (Engineer grade) is mandatory.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a closely related engineering degree
• proficiency in C programming required
• knowledge of inertial testing is a plus
• knowledge of PCB fabrication and layout is a plus
• understanding of embedded systems and digital interfaces (SPI, I2C) is a plus
• proficiency in Python is a plus
• ability to interpret data analysis and visualization to guide engineering decisions is a plus
• hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic/protocol analyzers, and DMMs is a plus
• self‑starter with strong quantitative analysis and problem‑solving skills
• team‑oriented with effective verbal and written communication skills
• ability to communicate proactively across teams and perform under pressure
• excellent documentation skills
• very good command of English (written and spoken).
