Road Engineer

Job description

the employer announces its need for a road engineer to work in the Medina region About this profession: Conduct the technical studies related to road construction projects, determine the most appropriate track for the road, prepare the engineering designs and outlines of road projects, follow up their execution, ensure compliance with the specifications, and prepare the specialized documents and reports related to work outcomes. • Study the aerial photos, topographical outlines as well as the water, geological and environmental reports related to road project, study the alternative track of road, and select the most appropriate one. • Prepare the primary designs, select the locations, directions and capacities of bridges and culverts, determine the locations of retaining walls on road sides, study the available materials, describe their characteristics, select the most appropriate for pavement layers, design the pavement layers, and determine their types, thickness and components. • Follow-up-on the execution of road project and compliance with the specifications. • Develop the work methods and procedures, and keep up with the technical developments. • Prepare, present, clarify, and keep on the relevant database, the specialized documents and reports related to engineering projects and works, as well as their progress ratio, as per the adopted policies and procedures
