Survey Engineer

Job description

Join the Construction Supervision team on a landmark development project in Riyadh. Report to the Resident Engineer/Construction Director and lead all site surveying and setting‑out verification activities. Supervise and coordinate the employer survey team and review contractor survey work for accuracy and compliance. Verify control points, benchmarks and reference coordinates and align them with the approved datum and grid system. Check contractor setting‑out for roads, utilities, structures, hardscape and landscape features. Conduct independent spot checks to ensure works match approved drawings and tolerances. Review contractor survey reports, layout and as‑built drawings for consistency. Identify and report design‑site discrepancies and support the supervision team in resolving issues. Coordinate survey activities with discipline engineers to avoid clashes. Maintain, calibrate and safeguard survey equipment. Manage organized digital and hard‑copy records of survey data and as‑built information. Support earthwork quantity verification and volumetric calculations. Participate in progress and coordination meetings, providing survey inputs and recommendations. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and the employer quality procedures. Assist in preparing final as‑built drawings and survey records for handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering from a recognized institution
• proficient in modern survey instruments and software including total stations, GPS/GNSS, digital levels, and survey data processing tools
• ability to read and interpret engineering, architectural and utility drawings and translate them into precise field layouts
• strong attention to detail, analytical skills and accurate record‑keeping
• good communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and contractors
• experience in KSA or GCC region preferred
• several years of experience in land/engineering surveying on large‑scale infrastructure, public realm or urban development projects, including senior or lead surveyor roles.
