Senior QA/QC Inspector / Engineer - Mechanical - Shutdown / Turnaround Experience

Job description

the employer is seeking an experienced Senior QA/QC Inspector/Engineer specializing in mechanical work with shutdown and turnaround experience. The role ensures quality assurance and control during mechanical projects in the oil and gas sector. Responsibilities include conducting detailed inspections of mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international codes, and safety standards, developing and implementing quality control procedures, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and project teams to resolve quality issues, preparing inspection and non‑conformance reports, participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions, and supporting project management to complete shutdown and turnaround activities on schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• minimum 8-10 years of experience in QA/QC inspection or engineering for mechanical systems
• proven experience in shutdown and turnaround projects within the oil and gas sector
• strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and inspection techniques
• excellent organizational and communication skills
• ability to work under high‑pressure environments and meet tight deadlines
• familiarity with quality management systems and procedures
• ability to lead and mentor junior inspectors or engineers.
