Design Manager (Landscape)

Job description

Manage all landscape design activities from concept to construction support. Coordinate design with multiple disciplinary teams. Review and approve design requests from consultants to ensure compliance with project scope, quality standards, and regulations. Develop and monitor the design program in accordance with the overall project schedules. Provide expertise in plant selection, irrigation, grading, drainage, and hardscape. Evaluate concepts in terms of functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic quality. Select plant species suitable for the climate and low maintenance. Evaluate environmental impact, soil conditions, hydrology, and long-term design maintenance. Ensure the implementation of sustainable solutions including water efficiency and green infrastructure. Communicate with clients and authorities to obtain approvals. Participate in technical meetings to resolve design issues. Support project reports with updates on design progress and risks. Monitor design changes and evaluate their impact on cost, schedule, and quality. Participate in value engineering for design elements without compromising quality. Identify and mitigate design risks. Provide technical support during the construction phase, including responding to information requests and reviewing shop drawings. Oversee the implementation of the design to ensure the preservation of the design intent. Monitor the progress of works on site and coordinate with supervision teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field
• experience in design management and landscape projects
• experience in consulting or large infrastructure/urban development projects
• proficiency in design and coordination tools (AutoCAD, BIM, GIS)
• solid understanding of international standards, codes, and authority requirements
