Senior QC Engineer

Job description

Ensures quality and technical compliance in servicing rotating equipment such as pumps, turbines, and compressors. Adheres to the employer OEM, customer, and international standards. Supports inspections, repair solutions, and quality procedures. Provides technical feedback, prepares inspection reports, and develops required standards. Conducts incoming, in‑process, and final inspections of rotating equipment and components. Prepares and reviews overhaul reports with technical recommendations. Develops work instructions, drawings, and repair methods based on findings. Maintains job packs, checklists, inspection records, and SOPs. Prepares and executes Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) with stakeholders. Provides technical quality support including WPS/PQR review and material selection. Performs dimensional, geometric, and disassembly inspections. Manages NCRs including root cause analysis, CAPA, and lessons learned. Coordinates and oversees NDT and specialized testing with third parties. Ensures calibration, control, and traceability of inspection equipment. Supports operations/projects with progress updates and resolves technical issues. Trains staff on quality standards and supports LEAN and continuous improvement. Ensures compliance with EHS, quality procedures, and 5S practices. Promotes a safe, clean, and positive work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Minimum of 7 years experience in a similar or related role
• Strong centrifugal pump background required
• Compressor/turbine experience is an advantage
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical specifications
• Experience in procedure development and NCR handling
• Proficient in precision measurement and workshop inspection
• Solid understanding of pump hydraulics, mechanical seals, and rotating equipment
• NDT certification (LPT/MPI/UT Level 2)
• LEAA lifting/rigging certification is a plus
• Knowledge of OEM standards and practices preferred
