Engineering Supervisor

Responsibilities: supervise daily activities of the Engineering team; assign maintenance tasks and monitor their completion; conduct regular inspections of guest areas, back‑of‑house areas, plant rooms, equipment, and facilities; execute preventive maintenance programs according to schedules; respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies; troubleshoot technical issues and support the team in finding solutions; monitor condition and operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; ensure work follows safety procedures, hotel standards, and regulations; maintain accurate records of activities, inspections, and repairs; track tools, equipment, spare parts and report replenishment needs; coordinate with contractors and external service providers and monitor work quality; support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives; keep workshops, plant rooms, and engineering areas clean, safe, and organized; communicate effectively with other departments regarding maintenance needs; support training and development of Engineering staff and ensure proper procedures; assist Engineering management with projects, inspections, reporting, and operational requirements; perform other duties as assigned by Engineering management.

Requirements

• Diploma or technical qualification in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or a related technical field
• experience in Engineering or Maintenance within the hospitality industry or a similar environment
• supervisory or team‑leading experience preferred
• good knowledge of hotel building systems, preventive maintenance, and general maintenance practices
• understanding of health, safety, and engineering standards and procedures
• ability to diagnose technical issues and coordinate corrective actions
• ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and shifts as required by hotel operations.
