Production Operator

Job description

The Production Operator role involves operating and monitoring packaging lines and equipment systematically to meet production targets, maximize line efficiency, and minimize material waste. Performs hourly process control checks, attends quality wall meetings, maintains equipment hygiene, and produces quality products according to KPIs. Monitors and reports material usage, waste, and efficiency, and escalates operational, quality, and food safety issues to managers. Manages line workers, upholds good housekeeping and GMP standards, supports IPS and food safety audits, and ensures efficient use of water, electricity, and gas. Contributes to the OH&S Management System in compliance with the employer GEHSMS and EHS standards.

Requirements

• minimum 1 year packing machine experience
• preferred Industrial Training Institute (ITI) graduate or diploma
• basic communication skills
• good working attitude
• relevant tertiary qualification
